I am soooo SoCal

Took a little vacation to Southern California…Palm Desert (golf, visit the parents), Joshua Tree National Park, Lake Arrowhead, Newport Beach, Laguna Canyon, blah blah. Went with my friend Vella, SoCal is her old stomping ground so she acted as the guide and interpreter. Here are some photos (most taken by Vella):

Being in the “wilderness” of California means making certain allowances. Took a sweet little hike through some hills of Laguna Canyon.

    Hey Dave,

Heard you saw the parents and played golf. How did you do on that “easy” course? Seem to remember being abused by it myself. Thanks for the pics. Take care.

I shot 88, Dad shot 91, both with a couple of stellar foot-wedges thrown in. Decent scores, I suppose. The guy we played with hit the ball about 320 down the middle, could back the ball up from 150 yards in, and typically was up and down. He was fun to watch but I felt bad for him, having to wait on us two hackers marching back and forth across the fairways. He probably finished 4 or 5 over.
